Creating an FTP account

An FTP account creates a folder on the public_html level of your site that allows external users that know the password to upload and download files from that location.

To create a FTP user:

1. Login to the MM Hosting cPanel by going to
www.yourdomain.com/cpanel
2. Click the FTP Management from the left menu.
3. Click FTP Accounts
4. You will see the list of current accounts. Click the "Add FTP Account" link.
5. Choose the username and password you want to setup for the user. You can also setup how much disk quota space you wish to assign them in the Quota box. The directory field will allow you to limit which folder they can access. If you place / in the field, this will give them access to all the website files. If you put "john". It will only give them access to the folder name "john" in public_html folder.
6. Click the Create button.
